Fiber Rich Food Good For Kidney Stone Patients

Kidney stones are remarkably painful ailment that is common to find these days. It is a highly painful disease in which the patient tends to feel a lot of pain in his lower abdomen and back. Latest research has shown that fiber-rich foods are highly beneficial for kidney stone patients. It is also found that some fiber-rich foods contain certain compounds that help a person protect against kidney stones. A wide variety of high-fiber plant foods contain a compound called phytate (also called inositol hexaphosphate, InsP6, or IP6), which appears to help prevent crystallization of calcium salts, both oxalate and phosphate. Phytate is found in legumes and wheat and rice bran. Increasing fiber in diet is highly benefical for kidney stones. Fiber includes oat and wheat bran, beans, whole-wheat breads, wheat cereals, cabbage, and carrots. Increasing the fibe content is fiber is considered as the most healthy way of preventing and treating kidney stones. By:
