Quit Smoking - Home Remedies and Natural Treatment

11:43:00 AM
Smoking is the practice of tasting or inhaling the vapor given out by substances like tobacco, opium or cannabis when burnt. Combustion of these substances release nicotine that is absorbed into the lungs. Smoking is actually a recreational drug use and a tobacco addict does enough harm to his or her health. Smoking, in other words, is a deadly habit. It increases the risk of lung cancer, oral cancer, bronchitis, asthma, tuberculosis, heart attack, COPD, erectile dysfunction, birth defects etc. Cigarette is the most common smoking tool. Some people also use loose tobacco and rolling paper to make hand rolled cigarettes. The other smoking tools are pipes, bongs, hookahs, cigars, bidis and vaporizers.

Smokers can be of 2 types: active smokers and passive smokers. People who are addicted to smoking are active smokers. Passive smokers are people who do not smoke but breathe in the air or vapor exhaled by the person who is smoking. Both are equally harmed. People are slowly becoming aware of the hazardous effect of smoking on health and are trying desperately to curb smoking. The efforts to quit smoking often become useless because of withdrawal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tremors, increased pulse rate, irritability etc. Here are some quit smoking home remedies to combat withdrawal symptoms and help people out.

11. Slowly chew the chopped dried root of sweet flag. This helps you to manage withdrawal symptoms and makes quitting easier.

12. Take the herb oat straw. It works amazingly as a quit smoking remedy.

Home Remedies For a Yeast Infection

8:28:00 AM
Home Remedies for Yeast Infection Basics; know the Prerequisites
Considering using a home remedy for a yeast infection? If so, be careful about which treatments you use; many home remedies for yeast infections are downright hazardous and have caused deaths. Yes, fatalities have been reported from the use of many common "home remedies" for yeast infections. Before you use any home remedies for yeast infections, make sure you understand what is and is not safe. Although this article describes which remedies are unsafe, you can visit the link at the bottom of this article to get the rest of the story on home remedies for yeast infections.
To help you understand which yeast infection remedies are not safe, here is a list of hazardous treatments to avoid. These treatments have been linked to health maladies and some even have caused deaths. Dangerous home remedies for yeast infections should not lead you away from natural medicine, rather they should cause you to seek professional advice from a natural health expert before using home remedies for yeast infections.
Boric Acid Home Remedies for Yeast Infection
Boric acid (orthoboric acid, boracic acid, Acidum Boricum) is a widely utilized chemical compound that happens to have an excellent antiseptic ability. Much like rubbing alcohol (ethyl alcohol), it will kill microorganisms quite efficiently, but you would never want to ingest it. Similarly, boric acid is highly unsafe when taken internally; it should never be drank or used in the vagina. There have been cases of fatalities where boric acid was used incorrectly. Boric acid should be considered an extremely toxic substance and should not be considered a valid addition to the pantheon of home remedies for yeast infections.
Garlic Oil Home Remedies for Yeast Infection
Garlic oil has the potential of containing Clostridium botulinum bacteria that produces one of the most deadly toxins known to man: botulin toxin. If garlic oil has become inoculated with these spores, the oil itself will become a breeding ground for these microorganisms. Eventually, the spores will produce enough botulin toxin to become dangerous to humans. Approximately one microgram of botulin toxin is a lethal does; causing contaminated garlic oil to be extremely dangerous.
Infants who ingest Clostridium botulinum spores can die from botulin toxin after the spores multiply inside the intestines. Women who have oral thrush on their nipples or on their child's bottles should never use garlic oil to kill the yeast infection. Using garlic oil as a home remedy for yeast infection in these cases will allow the infant to become poisoned with botulism spores.
Garlic oil should be avoided at all costs and other, safer home cures for yeast infections should be sought.
Tea Tree Oil Home Remedies for Yeast Infection
Currently there is no recommended dosage for tea tree oil; any dosage therefore may not be totally safe. Until a recommended dosage for this phytochemical is determined, any use of this substance is done at your own risk. Tea tree oil is commonly used as a treatment for external (i.e., not taken orally or inserted into any orifice of the body) conditions such as warts caused by HPV. If you desire to take tea tree oil internally please consult a naturalist or medical professional before proceeding
Home Remedies for yeast Infections: The Safe Remedies
Remember, no remedy or medicine is ever safe for 100% of humans on the earth. There are many rare and unusual allergies individuals suffer from that make normally harmless substances hazardous. However, on the whole, the best home remedies for yeast infection use items that almost everyone will have no problem with.

Nutritional Supplements and Herbal Remedies For Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

5:20:00 AM
If you have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, and are thinking about using natural treatment methods, then there is an excellent chance that you have considered taking nutritional supplements and/or herbal remedies to help restore your health back to normal. While taking the right kind of nutritional supplements can help with Hashimoto's, it can be both difficult and risky to attempt treating this serious autoimmune thyroid disorder on your own.
I have consulted with patients who figured that they can visit their local health food store and purchase a "thyroid support" formula, or a nutritional supplement that boosts the immune system, figuring that these types of supplements would provide the cure for their disorder. The truth is, most of the natural products that people purchase to treat conditions such as Hashimoto's Thyroiditis don't do much to help restore their health. While sometimes these supplements can provide temporary relief from their symptoms, in most cases it takes more than just nutritional supplements to completely restore a person's health back to normal. And of course in some people with this condition, it is not possible to completely restore their health through natural treatment methods (although this doesn't mean they still can't benefit from a natural treatment protocol).
When choosing nutritional supplements for Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, you need to keep in mind that not only are you trying to restore the function of your thyroid gland, but just as important, you need to strengthen your immune system. And in most cases the adrenal glands and/or other areas of the body are affected as well. In fact, many healthcare professionals, including myself, agree that it is more important to focus on boosting the immune system before directly treating the thyroid gland. One reason for this is because a weakened immune system is a big reason why many people develop Hashimoto's Thyroiditis in the first place.
Supplements For Immune System Support
Some of the supplements that can help boost your immune system for people with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis include Echinacea, Selenium, and Astragalus. Of course you should first consult with a competent doctor to determine which of these you should take, as well as the proper dosage. Before purchasing nutritional supplements, remember that the quality is extremely important. This doesn't necessarily mean that you need to buy the most expensive supplements out there, but you do need to keep in mind that most nutritional supplements sold in retail stores, through the Internet, and even in many health food stores are of low quality. And if they aren't high quality nutritional supplements, then chances are your body won't properly absorb them, which obviously means you won't get the optimal benefits from taking them.
So what's wrong with taking an immune system support formula at your local health food store to help boost your immune system? Well, if you can find a high quality immune support formula then that's great, but in addition to all of the low quality ones that are out there, just remember that is extremely difficult to find a single "natural pill" that can do a great job in strengthening your immune system. It is one thing to take a "wellness formula" to temporarily boost your immune system and reduce the likelihood of coming down with a cold or the flu. It is an entirely different thing to expect an immune system support formula to effectively combat an autoimmune condition, such as Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
It is also important to know that it usually takes more than just ingesting nutritional supplements to strengthen one's immune system. Here are five rules to follow that will help to boost your immune system, as well as help maintain the health of other areas of the body:
Rule #1: Eat healthy most of the time.
Rule #2: Take quality nutritional supplements.
Rule #3: Get at least 8 hours of quality sleep each night
Rule #4: Manage stress effectively
Rule #5: Exercise regularly
If you have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and do these five things with consistency, over time you will strengthen your immune system, which will help with your recovery. In addition, this will also help prevent other autoimmune conditions from developing in the future, which is very common with people who have Hashimoto's. The reason for this is because most people simply take synthetic thyroid hormone for the rest of their lives, and never address the immune system component. So if you focus on strengthening your immune system, then in addition to restoring the function of your thyroid gland, you are much more likely to stay healthy in the future.
Get Your Adrenal Glands Checked Out
Besides focusing on the immune system component, you should also get your adrenals tested, as many people with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis have adrenal problems. And just as is the case with the immune system, the adrenal function needs to be regulated before giving any direct treatment to the thyroid gland. If you try treating the thyroid gland before strengthening the immune system and balancing the adrenal glands, the treatment won't be nearly as effective.
Often times these problems I have spoken about thus far can be resolved by following the five rules I listed above, as eating healthy and regularly will help regulate your blood sugar levels, and in turn might be necessary to enforce rule #3, which involves getting quality sleep each night. Overall, when managing the adrenal glands the main key is to regulate the blood sugar levels. And the two best ways to do this are to 1) get rid of any sweet cravings you may have, and 2) avoid going long periods of time without eating.
Supplements To Address The Adrenal Glands
As for nutritional supplements that can help with the adrenal gland, one important one is called Gymnema, which can help stop any sweet and carbohydrate cravings you might have. You also need to manage the stress in your life, and while this does involve modifying your lifestyle to some extent, one herb that can help with chronic stress is Eleuthero, which is also called Siberian Ginseng. Once again, please consult with a competent doctor to determine the proper dosage of these supplements.
In addition to the immune system and adrenal glands, other areas of the body can be the cause of the problem, so while addressing the immune system and adrenal glands is important, this might not be enough to restore your health back to normal. Some people have problems with their gastrointestinal tract that is the underlying cause behind their disorder. Others have a hormonal imbalance that needs to be addressed. This is why it's a good idea to consult with a natural endocrine doctor, as a competent one will look at other areas of the body, and not just the thyroid gland.
Supplements For Thyroid Gland Support
Speaking of the thyroid gland, there are supplements one can take to help with its function. Many people with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis are iodine deficient. However, someone with Hashimoto's SHOULD NOT take iodine until both the immune system component and adrenals are addressed. If taken right off the bat, iodine can cause more harm than good, and this is one reason why many healthcare professionals will tell someone with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis to avoid iodine altogether. So iodine can be essential to take for a person who has a deficiency, but the timing is extremely important with regards to Hashimoto's.
While there are other supplements and herbs that can offer thyroid support, such as Ashwaganda and Bladderwrack, the fact remains that with Hashimoto's Thyroidits, the thyroid gland usually is not being directly affected. In other words, by addressing the actual cause of the autoimmune condition, often times giving minimal nutritional support to the thyroid gland will be fine. So there usually is no good reason to take many supplements directly aimed at restoring the function of the thyroid gland. By clearing up other areas of the body, and then giving some nutritional support to the thyroid gland, this gland will frequently begin functioning at a normal level again.
This of course assumes that it is possible to completely restore one's health, as in some cases this can't be done. For example, someone who had their thyroid gland completely removed will probably have to take synthetic or natural thyroid hormone for the rest of their lives. On the other hand, this doesn't mean that they shouldn't consider natural treatment methods to help strengthen their immune system, restore the function of their adrenal glands, correct any hormonal imbalances, etc.
In summary, taking nutritional supplements and herbal remedies in most cases can help. However, just because they are "natural" doesn't mean they don't carry any risks, which is why you should never self-treat yourself, and should instead consult with an expert. Since everyone is different, it makes sense that some people will need to take different supplements and herbs, and of course not everyone will need to take the same dosage.
Also, even though nutritional supplements and herbal remedies can help many people with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, taking supplements and herbs alone will not restore your health back to normal. In order to accomplish this, you need to make changes in your eating habits, exercise regularly, get quality sleep each night, and manage the stress in your life. So as you can see, restoring your health is definitely not easy to do, but most of the time it is possible. But the person with this condition needs to be ready to make these changes in their life. If you are ready to make these changes and want to see if you're a candidate for a natural treatment protocol, then consider consulting with a natural endocrine doctor. It very well might be the wisest decision you make this year.

How To Get Wrinkles Out Of Your Face - Home Remedies

8:46:00 AM
It might be wise to explore home remedies for wrinkles before embarking on any anti-wrinkle treatment. Although there are plenty of options out there in all forms and budget sizes, it's still loads better to try to remove the wrinkles out naturally, that is to say, with no reliance on chemicals and artificial ingredients and invasive techniques. Mother Nature, indeed, has provided man with a wealth of resources to maintain health and beauty. You might find it surprising that the key ingredients to removing wrinkles are just around the corner, more specifically in your very own pantry!
Home Remedies for Wrinkles
  1. Coconut Oil. Virtually erasing wrinkles is possible with coconut oil. Coconut oil contains plenty of skin nourishing properties that make the skin soft and elastic. To use it for wrinkles, simply massage it over your face gently before sleeping. Do it everyday with the same degree of consistency and results are sure to become visible sooner or later.
  2. Olive Oil. Olive oil is one of the healthiest oils out there, loaded with essential fatty acids. Simply massage the oil on your face daily to witness your skin looking younger and smoother.
  3. Honey. Honey is one of the best loved all-around home remedies as it offers plenty of benefits. In war-stricken countries and areas where access to medicines is limited, honey is being used to treat wounds, cough and colds, and many other diseases. To use honey for wrinkles, prep your face by washing it clean with warm water. Alternatively, you can have a hot towel on your face for some time. Either way opens up the pores of the skin, resulting to better absorption of honey. Apply honey on your face, carefully massaging it in areas where wrinkles are most evident. Let your skin bask in the goodness of honey for half an hour. Then rinse it off with warm water first, then with cold water.
  4. Banana. Banana peels, especially are being used in ancient times to heal a number of skin conditions, apparently wrinkles among them. This is because they contain not just vitamins and minerals but also antioxidants that help prevent further skin damage, thereby reducing chances of wrinkle-formation. Applying a banana peel on the forehead and other areas of the face where wrinkles form helps tighten the skin and makes the wrinkles less visible. Another way you can enjoy the benefits of bananas is to use them as a face mask. All you have to do is to mash up to two ripe bananas until they are creamy enough to stick comfortably on your face. Leave the mask on for half an hour, then rinse it completely with warm water first, then with cold water next. Do this two times a week.
  5. Pineapple. People living in tropical countries like the Philippines have many things to be thankful for, among them the abundance of pineapple. Pineapple is a rich source of fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants, that help maintain general well being and skin health. Pineapple makes an excellent anti-aging agent. Take the core of the pineapple and rub it on your face and experience your skin looking lifted, younger, and more refreshed.
  6. Lemon juice and fresh milk. Lemon juice and fresh milk are a great combination especially when it comes to fighting wrinkles. All you need are four drops of lemon juice and enough fresh milk. Massage the mixture all over your face, leaving it there for half an hour. Then rinse your face clean with warm water.
In addition, make sure to drink plenty of water everyday, don't do drugs, or smoke, exercise, sleep early, and essentially create a healthy lifestyle.

The most common types of gum disease are: Gingivitis and Periodontitis.
To prevent having gum infection we should brush our teeth regularly and clean the teeth at the dentist every 6 month.
If we neglected the teeth and gums and we do suffer from gum infection or other oral disease we can use some medications to relieve the pain and swelling. We can buy the products or make them from our household products. To easily make the home remedies we can use the things we have in our kitchen.
