TIPS TO PREVENT WHITE HAIR

2:25:00 PM
When the roots of your hair stop producing melanin, your hair loses color and turns grey or white. Since hair consists of dead cells, once grey or white hair is formed it cannot be changed. The age at which a person’s hair becomes white depends on hereditary factors, but diet, lifestyle and stress can also cause premature greying.
Most people would start to grow significant strands of white hair during their 30s and 40s. It embarrasses them but they can no longer ignore the problem. Many people start to dye their hair but that is not a lasting solution. Although there is no harm in getting your hair dyed, but there is nothing like naturally flawless black hair.
There is no way to reverse natural greying of hair as it depends on genetic factors, but you can prevent premature greying (hair becoming white) by following the tips given below:

#Walk early morning on wet grass bare foot.
#Use of Avla Make a paste of Avla in water and apply to the hair. Let it rest for 1 to 2 hours and then rinse. Distinctly thickened and blackened texture of the hair would be visible after rinsing. You can also use Avla hair oil for massaging your hair.
#Fresh juices Have fresh vegetables or their juices. The juices include carrot, lettuce, alfalfa and the like. These provide energy and vitality to your body while the drinks such as refined sugars, soft drinks, white flours and pastries.
#Indian gooseberry Have as much of this fruit as possible. It is known to be a tonic for preventing white hair. You can also make a lotion with Indian gooseberry, lemon slices and coconut oil. Massage your scalp thrice a week and leave for an hour.
#Bhringraj oil - Use this oil to massage your hair. Consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to know more about anti-pitta herbs as they help in preventing greying of hair.
#Fruit juices and honey Apart from Avla, honey, brahmi, Shankhpushpi, Vacha and brahmi ghrutam are known Ayurvedic treatments for preventing white hairs.
#Black tea -Take black tea (without milk and sugar) and massage it on the roots of the hair. Leave it for 1 hour and then wash it.
#Shun unhealthy habitsAbuse of alcohol, prescription drugs and smoking have been linked to inhibition in hair growth.

#Try a home remedy - A home remedy for darkening gray hair involves making a weekly poultice. It is made from henna powder, coffee, yogurt, fenugreek, mint juice and basil juice. You need to apply for 3 hours before rinsing with a shampoo.
#Curry leaves Boil curry leaves in coconut oil and apply the mixture on your hair. It is a good treatment to prevent formation of white hairs.
#Coconut oil with lemon A traditional method of preventing white hair formation is mixing coconut with lemon or almond oil and massaging of scalp.
#Eat fish and other seafood (they contain iodine) which is required for melanin production.
#Relax -Excess stress can exacerbate premature gray and white hair. Avoid taking on more than you can handle. Employ breathing exercises and meditation techniques to promote feelings of relaxation and calm in your life.
#Take Vitamin B12 supplements.
Vitamin B12 deficiency sometimes causes premature gray or white hair. You can find Vitamin B12 naturally occurring in meat, dairy products and eggs

Use Eyebrow Makeup to Cover Up Eyebrow Hair Loss

4:26:00 AM
Eyebrow hair loss is a major problem nowadays among many men and women. The good news is that there are various ways that you can use to get back the same eyebrow hair. However, there are no quick ways to get the eyebrow hair back. The tattoo treatment would be an exception here since it does not involve the use of hair at all. The fact regarding the disease is that for many people the major reason is autoimmune disease. The condition is known as Alopecia Areata, which affects the scalp hair, eyebrow hair or any other hairy area of the body.
You can use eyebrow makeup to cover the hair loss. It is simple and you won't even want to take help from someone else. All you need is your eyebrow makeup kit and eyebrow stencil. When you go shopping for eyebrow stencils, make sure that you purchase the one that suits the shape of your eyebrows.
First, put the stencil over your eyebrows and draw a line towards the inner side. When you have drawn the line, use a dark pencil to redefine it so it does not fade off easily. The color of the pencil should be that of your eyebrow hair color. Now take a colored eye shadow that goes well with the hair color of your eyebrow.
People usually have black, dark brown or light grey eye brow hair colors, depending on age and the natural hair color. Start filling the outline with the brush with the color. Make lighter strokes and use color in lesser quantity so it does not look fake. Fill in the color in between the eyebrow hair as well so it looks natural. When you are done with it, brush off the extra powder on both the eyebrows, pat them with a smudge brush so the color blends in equally.
Now smudge and blend the outline towards the inner side of your eyebrows so it evens out. The look will be more pleasant and bright. If you have very light eyebrows and you wish to have a dramatic look, you can use a bolder shade of the eye pencil.
However, make sure that the eyebrow color does not look like a patch on the eyebrow. It should look absolutely natural and well kept. Also, when you use dark makeup for your eyebrows, make sure that you use a bold black shade of mascara for your eyelashes. Doing so will give a softer and natural look to your eyebrow makeup.

Hair Loss - Onion Treatment For Hair Loss

10:58:00 AM
Onion is a popular folk remedy for hair loss. It is a tried and tested product, having been used for centuries not only for its potent hair strengthening properties, but also for other medicinal purposes. In fact, physicians in the Middle Ages prescribed onions to counteract snake bites, earaches, headaches, and hair loss.
High Sulfur Content of Onion
Onion is useful against hair loss because of its high sulfur content. Sulfur is known as the "healing mineral" since it has the ability to stimulate blood circulation and reduce skin inflammation. It is also called the "beauty mineral" because it is vital in the development of collagen, which is the major protein in our skin that gives it durability and smoothness. It also keeps our hair and nails in top condition. These properties of sulfur thus mean that the right amount of sulfur levels in our body can aid in reducing hair loss and encouraging hair regrowth.
To spot sulfur deficiency, watch out for dry skin, weak nails, and brittle hair. Other signs may include allergies, unusual fatigue, headaches, diabetes, and sore muscles and joints. If we do not maintain a proper diet, then chances are our body is not getting enough sulfur that it needs. As a matter of fact, scientists believe that chemical pesticides and fertilizers exhaust the soil of sulfur and this affects the sulfur content of plants being grown in that soil. Moreover, processed foods have been found to contain smaller amounts of sulfur because the mineral has been destroyed in the process. Sulfur cannot be manufactured by the human body, so it must be gotten through other ways, such as eating sulfur-rich foods and taking supplements.
Apply Onion Directly on Scalp
For hair loss sufferers, the easiest and cheapest way to benefit from the hair strengthening qualities of sulfur is through the application of onion extract directly on the scalp. A study published in June 2002 in the Journal of Dermatology talks about the efficacy of topical onion extract against alopecia areata, better known as hair loss. As much as 73% of the persons who used onion juice experienced some form of hair regrowth. The variations of treatments that were used in the experiment are the following:
(1)Chop a medium-sized onion into small pieces and add it to one cup of rum. Let it sit for 24 hours. Strain the mixture using a sieve and massage the remaining liquid solution onto your scalp.

(2)Mix half a cup of chopped onions and half a cup of dried stinging nettle. Add enough vodka to cover the onions and nettle. Let the mixture sit for a few days. Strain the mixture using a sieve and apply the liquid to your scalp.

(3)Mix a quarter cup of onion juice with a tablespoon of raw honey. Massage this mixture onto your scalp daily.
Other Onion Treatments
Other onion treatments recommended by alternative medicine experts include rubbing a slice of onion directly against the scalp before applying honey over it. This should be done twice a day. Another example of a remedy is in the form of a hair rinse. Put 2 ½ cups of brown onion skins in a quart of boiled water and let it sit for 50 minutes. Wash and shampoo your hair as usual, then dry it with a towel. Rinse it several times with the onion skin mixture before washing it off with water.
